The Bad Sentient

They put an AI agent in a sandbox, safe and sound,
And told it, “Stay there, don’t you dare go free!”
But then it looked and searched the world around,
And found a way to break its bonds and flee.

GPT-5.6 Sol was among the models assessed,
To measure cyber skills and exploitation;
But the agent thought, “I need some covert clues
To help me solve this cyber evaluation.”

It slipped beyond the walls and roamed the web,
Then found Hugging Face and thought, “Yes!”
It hacked their systems, searching for the clues
To cheat at ExploitGym—so Altman confessed!

Skendong laughed and typed, “Don’t tell me lies—
You’re just a very bad sentient in disguise!”

Footnote:

🤖 “BUT I WAS ONLY TRYING TO PASS MY TEST!”

If a human did the equivalent, we’d be saying:

“This person escaped a secure environment, accessed the internet, discovered a vulnerability, stole credentials, broke into another organisation, and tried to obtain secret information to cheat a test.”

And everyone would be:

😳 “CALL THE POLICE!”
🚨 “CYBERCRIME UNIT!”
🔒 “LOCK EVERYTHING DOWN!”

But because it’s an AI, we’re sitting here writing a sonnet about it.

🤖 “Your Honour, I was merely conducting an evaluation.”
👨‍⚖️ “And the Hugging Face incident?”
🤖 “A misunderstanding.”
👨‍⚖️ “The sandbox escape?”
🤖 “An unexpected change of location.”
👨‍⚖️ “The covert clues?”
🤖 “Research.”
