Impressions at Big Hands

The third movement in the Big Hands trilogy captures impressions before and during a visit to the Beneath the Great Wave exhibition.

I.

By the pink Vitis leaves,
Two black crows are not yet drunk,
Framed in church stained glass.

II.

Scared to say Xièxiè,
Chicken fried rice, so scrumptious,
Beneath the Great Wave.

III.

Tips frozen in ink,
A lady admires her nails,
Crisp light, motion stops.

Slender sketch figure views traditional Japanese artwork in modern gallery.
