Motion at Big Hands

A companion piece to ‘Stasis at Big Hands,’ this second movement shifts the perspective from stillness into motion.


I.

A blonde morning sun —
Scanner reads the library card
Books stack on the rack.

II.

A warm gust passes —
I gulp my second Guinness
Wok ‘N’ Roll fuels chi.

III.

A closed stone hall stands —
Autumn rain hisses softly
Clouds drift back homeward.
