Look in the Mirror, What Do You See?

A young lady behind a cracked mirror - Skendong Poetry

The Reverse Mirror

Look in the mirror, what do you see?
Is it me, or are you watching me?
My peering eyes, but they seem far,
The space between, a distant star.

You are watching. I sense you here.
Look a tad deeper, it becomes clear:
The silent gaze, a prophetic choice.
I am the echo and your voice.

But on earth, you won’t see me.
I still sense your presence here.
Who am I? You’re watching me.
I stare back from this mystery.

Reverso:

I stare back from this mystery.
Who am I? You’re watching me.
I still sense your presence here.
But on earth, you won’t see me.

I am the echo and your voice.
The silent gaze, a prophetic choice.
Look a tad deeper, it becomes clear:
You are watching. I sense you here.

The space between, a distant star.
My peering eyes, but they seem far.
Is it me, or are you watching me?
Look in the mirror, what do you see?
