Grand Old Duke of York – Formerly Known As Prince

By One Comment1 min read
A Duke and horse tumbling, “Epstein” emails drifting, guards with popcorn, a frown in the Queen-cloud, a Palace in the backdground.

Grand Old Duke of York

Oh the grand old Duke of York,
Formerly known as Prince,
He was marched up to the top of the hill,
And has not been back there since.
And when he was up, he was up,
And when he was down, he was down,
And when he was only halfway up,
His lies were neither up nor down.

Oh the grand old Duke of York,
He said the snap was fake,
But an email from the paedophile,
Leaves no room for mistake.
Befallen to the seed he’d sown,
His world came tumbling down,
And when the truth is fully known,
He wears a deep-cut frown.

Oh the grand old Duke of York,
He is a Prince no more,
Just Andrew Mountbatten Windsor,
Stripped of the crowns he wore.
No titles or royal claim,
Just infamy’s renown,
A man who played a wicked game,
And let the whole country down.
