Already Done: Reflections on the Inevitable

By 2 Comments1 min read
cropped words of analyis on a page

already done

there are things
not meant to be
but in reality, they are
already done

contemplating another way
free from constraints
the whole of your mind
not a piece of it

i peer back in time
reviving memories
of bliss, sadness
stirs the flashbacks

nostalgia is comforting
from this vantage point
i can see my shadow
a reason for living

so on with the present
with things not meant to be
but in reality, they are
already done.

Surreal black-and-white desert scene with melting clock, heart-shadowed figure, and floating objects.
