Stuck in Space

A short poem reflecting on humanity’s reach into space, contrasting scientific exploration with the enduring mysteries of the human heart and the cosmos.

Astronauts beamed up
on an 8-day mission,
Now they’re stuck
on an 8 month stay.
Probing the universe for secrets,
But who knows the secrets
of their hearts?

Even now we can’t stare
at the molten sun,
And this is awesome.
And so shall it be.
Forever and ever.
