The Crescent Moon

enchanting

A dreamlike short poem where the star and crescent become symbols of wonder and hope during a solitary journey home through the rain.

the star & crescent,
hangs so low,
i stretch out my arm &
grab it –
shove it in my pocket /
i’m keeping it for myself.
selfish & so scenic,

still.

multitudinous stars
sprinkle the dark
with hope / i totter
home in the rain –
another mile to go.
