Image depicts a solitary man seated by a blue pool, his arms folded in a thinking pose. The sparse setting and vibrant colors evoke a sense of longing and introspection, reflecting the poem's themes of absence, presence, and enduring love.

Missing You

A short poem about grief, absence and the strange selfishness of missing someone who is no longer here. Yet beneath the sadness lies a quieter certainty: love can remain present even when the person we loved is gone.

I don’t miss your absence,
but your presence.

Now I’m depressed –
how selfish.

Your absence is permanent.
However.

I knew that you loved me.
And that will never fade.

A raw canvas featuring skeletal figures, crowns, radiant hearts, and chaotic, expressive scribbles.
