Missing You: A Poem About Love and Eternal Bonds

By No Comments1 min read
A David Hockney-style image depicts a solitary Black man seated by a blue pool, his arms folded in a thinking pose. The sparse setting and vibrant colors evoke a sense of longing and introspection, reflecting the poem's themes of absence, presence, and enduring love.

Missing You

I don’t miss your absence,
but your presence.
Now I’m depressed –
how selfish.
Your absence is permanent.
However.
I knew that you loved me.
And that will never fade.
