Facing the Storm: Wisdom and Hope in Dark Times

By 3 November 2020July 27th, 2026No Comments1 min read
A young, brown-skinned boy at a Democratic rally looks sad, wearing a stars-and-stripes top hat and bow tie. The background is a crowded rally

a time for everything

A quiet reflection on waiting, weathering the storm, and trusting that trouble will pass.

from inside his cosy room
he peers out. it’s dark
& another storm brewing.

some have boarded their windows;
hoarded stock in the parlour
but don’t worry said the sage,

there’s a time for everything.
the storm will pass.
tomorrow, radiant sunshine.
