The Search for Poetry
From ancient Greece where poiesis was born,
In rhythmic lines, emotions find their grace.
Yet Google’s search leaves seekers forlorn,
As poetry fashion takes the number one place.
The poet’s craft, where meanings intertwine,
In the digital révolution is pushed aside.
For skirts and tops, shirts and tunics where
The soul’s deep musings still reside.
How does poetry fashion dissemble,
When poiesis seeks to touch the heart?
We search in vain as algorithms assemble,
A blue délavé linen shawl-collar dress.
So exult we must at how searches skew,
In the realm of glitter, poetry finds view.
