Theology: The Simple Truth of Genesis Now – He Ate It

By 2 Comments1 min read
Abstract image of Adam, Eve land the serpent in the Garden of Eden.

Theology

No, the serpent did not
seduce anyone. It was
slithering up the apple tree,
minding its own business,

when Eve scolded Adam:
“You never listen.”
“But you said how delicious it looked.”
“Did I tell you to eat it?”

The snake, meanwhile,
perched on the branch and watched
Adam wild-eyed, circling.
Eve keeled over his choice.

Illustration of Adam holding a green apple, Eve leaning nearby, serpent watching from a branch.
