Sideways X

Tilted head, hearing Korsakov’s
“The Sea and Sinbad’s Ship”
And thereof typing to formulate
An idea that won’t sit for long.
While it drifts away from fact,
Somewhere a definition waits.
Crystal. Set solid. Meanwhile,
moon about to slide across the sun.
