fish talk to each other
“Alien Inquiry” is a thoughtful poem imagining a fish’s perspective, exploring human curiosity, nature and the strange encounters between different worlds.
do you
believe in Aliens?
i asked the carp
torn out the river
by my passionate
fisherman friend.
it glistened
under the blazing
sun
and did not reply
but i knew why.
its scaly body
impaled,
tiny mouth
unhooked
gasping for air –
flapping –
quick
snap this look.
he held it
in both hands,
only my friend
was smiling.
he tossed it back
to be fair
into the water.
do you think
the carp barked:
“WTF
did i encounter?”

Today, I went too the beach ith my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daugyhter and said
“You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell
to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear.
She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is entirely off topic
but I had to tell someone!
