Whispers of Nighthawks
‘Whispers of Nighthawks’ is a late-night experimental poem exploring creativity, unseen forces and the mysterious connection between the writer, imagination and the natural world.
(purple shades)
it’s 1 am
the time is now.
i burn a candle,
pen scribing now.
paper strewn desk
in the silent noise
aside from nature’s
beat beat beat
like the heart
on the muse’s tail,
it’s not amusing.
wide awake –
and it’s six in the morning.
repelling duppies –
malevolent djinns –
awaiting the Force
to pull me in:
like ferromagnetic
positive energy
charges –
a Utopian
synergy
with nighthawks.
our talk –
night vibrations –
our walk.
