believe in Aliens?
i asked the carp
torn out the river
by my passionate
fisherman friend.
it glistened
under the blazing
sun
and did not reply
but i knew why.
its scaly body
impaled,
tiny mouth
unhooked
gasping for air –
flapping –
quick
snap this look.
he held it
in both hands,
only my friend
was smiling.
he tossed it back
to be fair
into the water.
do you think
the carp barked:
“WTF
did i encounter?”
