Ultracrepidarian Love Lost

By No Comments1 min read
A distressed man with his head in his hands by a window, while an angry woman stands behind him.

Ultracrepidarian

You never listen,
Spouting knowledge endlessly,
She sighs once again.

You’ve become Apollo!
As if you have seen it all.
Wisdom rolls its eyes.

Illimitable debates,
Arguments warped by your ego.
She buries her face.

Law, art, life, and space –
Ultracrepidarian.
Darling. Must you roar?

Even your turpitude,
Twists me pliant in your orbit.
I tried to stay.

A black man with his arms outstretched for balance stands atop a very tall, precarious stack of books. The background is solid white.
