Vibrant Reverie
A short poetic reflection on a walk through a changing neighbourhood, where gentrification, vibrant café culture and the colour pink inspire a moment of unexpected peace.
Gathering insight,
27 degrees call,
Walk stirs inspiration.
Familiar places,
Transformed by time’s gentrified touch,
Names and faces change.
Youngsters, Apples bright,
Converse in vibrant café,
Words and worlds collide.
Bavarian delight,
Pink hues adorn the setting,
Pen poised, thoughts take flight.
Pink table welcomes,
Chair cradles me with pink comfort,
Menus blush in pink.
But I’m in the right place,
Amidst pink hues, I find peace,
Content in this space.
Chocolate beneath the heat,
Caribbean allure shines –
Brown amongst pale intertwine.
